I had the pleasure of photographing Michael and Felicia's wedding. I've know both of them for nine years, but they've dating for about 10 years now and we are all very happy that they've married and now live in the same town/state.
Felicia was the ideal bride--organized and knew what she want. It was fun watching her get ready for the wedding and how excited she (and Michael) were. They married in Danforth Chapel on the KU Campus in Lawrence, KS.
Thank you both for the opportunity to photograph your wedding!!!! I'm so happy for you!

This is when Michael saw the wedding present his bride gave him--an antique VW Beetle convertible that she bought in college and has since restored. Michael has always loved Bugs and she knew that that would be what she gave him. She had a time getting it from Topeka to Lawrence and keeping it hidden until they walked out of the chapel. It worked out perfectly when that when they exited the chapel that the guests blowing bubbles were blocking their view of the street and it wasn't until they got closer and the crowd parted that he saw it and she didn't have to say a thing--he just seemed to know.

Felicia and her mom put all the bouquets together. They were very beautiful and we had no idea they were homemade until Felicia told us.

Their reception was held in downtown Lawrence on Mass Street--in college our roommate, Willow, worked in the Eldridge, but it was the first time for me to step inside it, even though every night Felicia and I would walk by it on our nightly walks.
Felicia was a great model through our whole shoot. She's always a lot of fun and I love all of the different faces she gives.
CONGRATS, Felicia and Michael!
